Tikkun Olam | Repair the World 48 x 36

Tikkun Olam

The Jewish concept "tikkun olam" is defined by acts of kindness performed to perfect or repair the world. Often synonymous with the notion of social action and the pursuit of social justice, we strive toward working alongside any and all groups to make this world a better place for EVERYONE.

"What the World Needs Now Is Love" is a 1965 popular song with lyrics by Hal David and music composed by Burt Bacharach, the Vietnam War being the subtext for the lyrics. Still as relevant now as ever before.

Additional text is "Riparo de la monde", repair the world, written in the universal constructed language of Esperanto, created in the late 19th century as "an easy and flexible language that would serve as a universal second language to foster world peace and international understanding, and to build a community of speakers".

Fine art prints and hand-embellished giclees available. This painting is also available as an event poster. Please contact me.
